Raglan Topper Pattern

Make this fun and easy shirt from one fabulous fabric or 8 coordinated fabrics. Designed to be made from a single 2 1/2yd border fabric from Bold Over Batiks, we just couldn’t resist making it in an assortment of gorgeous batiks, too. The raglan sleeves provide a perfect design element for inserting a contrasting fabric and the same insert accents the front and neckline area. Buttons down the center front with a hidden placket behind provide modesty and a nice focal design point.

Mt. Fuji Jacket Pattern

Inspired by the traditional Japanese Kimono, this Wearable Art Jacket has a few modifications that make it more practical for everyday wear. The shoulders are slightly dropped so there is freedom of movement in the shoulder and underarm area. The kimono sleeves are slightly smaller around and are shortened just a bit so they won’t get into things when you reach for something. Instead of the traditional band at the neckline, we opted for a gentle jewel-neck which makes it easier to select a blouse to wear underneath the jacket. This jacket can be lined or unlined and can also be reversible.
