This semi-fitted jacket will go with you everywhere!  Use 1-2 pairs of old jeans (or purchased denim) to add just a new twist to the 'jean jacket'.  Quilted to a flannel before construction, this jacket is the perfect weight indoors or out.  Optional piping on collar adds a tailored touch.

Fast and easy to make, this is the perfect 'throw on' for any occasion.  Loose and boxy, this jacket required no fitting!  Personalize with beads or fringe or just leave 'as is.  Front has no closure but buttons can be added.

The top of the jacket uses a 60 degree ruler, and the bottom uses the new Wave Edge Ruler by Lily Marie.  Elaine teaches a fun and quick technique for Collar embellishment using your favorite new threads or yarn.  The pattern is housed in a 9” x 12” color folder in 5 separate lessons. The jacket is oversized for outerwear, and the sizing is generous.

Easy construction techniques make this jacket quick to sew and fun to wear. Elaine chose flannels for the one illustrated here, but hand-dyed cottons also make this a stunning garment. The anvil blocks are pieced first and assembled into two mini-quilts from which the two fronts and back are cut. Double needles are used for simple quilting on the sleeves. Directions give easy-to-follow diagrams of each step. The semi-fitted, short jacket is flattering to every size

The quilt measures 90” x 112”. The pattern comes with five, easy-to-follow, full color lessons encased in a pocket folder, complete with space for you to attach your fabric swatches. This stunning quilt will be treasured by generations to come!

Midnight Stars

Elaine has designed a way to piece the Feathered Star blocks that you are going to love! The appliqué is large and loose, so it goes fast, especially if you use fusible web or spray techniques. This quilt measures 86 x 101 and is sure to become a favorite. The pattern is set up in Elaine’s Lesson by Lesson format, so you can take each part step-by-step.

Pattern Correction: In lesson #5, under "ADD THE OUTER BORDER", the directions for the top and bottom border measurements should read: 2-9 ½ x 86 ½" (not 83 ½" as stated). Each Feathered Star block should measure 19" or 19 ½" unfinished. You may need to trim it down once your blocks are complete. Be sure to leave ¼" seam allowance.

Can you find the simple block in this quilt? Elaine designed this block, which is fun, easy and rotary cut. Hint: It’s a large block, and the sashing forms a secondary block. Elaine had a lot of fun using her Snow Day flannels on this quilt, which finishes to 72” x 90”. This quilt is the perfect project for the beginner, but will be fun even for the advanced piecer.
